Stichting Biomeiler

Stichting Biomeiler is a foundation based in the Netherlands, dedicated to promoting sustainable energy solutions through the development and application of biomeilers.

These biomeilers use the natural process of composting organic waste to generate renewable heat, offering an eco-friendly alternative to conventional heating systems. By focusing on renewable energy, circular economy principles, and waste-to-energy technologies, Stichting Biomeiler aims to reduce carbon emissions and resource waste while promoting energy efficiency.

The organization works closely with local communities, businesses, and research institutions to implement biomeiler projects, contributing to sustainable urban and rural development. With a team of experts, Stichting Biomeiler offers education and consultation services to raise awareness about the benefits of biomeilers and other sustainable practices.

Their mission is rooted in a commitment to sustainability. Biomeiler focuses on minimizing waste and harnessing energy from natural, renewable sources, contributing to global efforts to fight climate change.

Role in the Project

In the TEAPOTS project,  Stichting Biomeiler contributes to optimizing sustainable energy systems based on composting.

They focus on feedstock analysis and recipe optimization, collaborating with partners to determine the best organic waste materials for energy recovery via lab and pilot-scale testing. Biomeiler is developing and testing two Compost Heating Recovery Systems, each capable of producing thermal energy.

Their expertise supports the improvement of domestic-use TIS (TEAPOTS Integrated Solution) by enhancing composting systems and energy efficiency. Biomeiler also promotes innovative renewable energy technologies in farming, advancing sustainability in waste-to-energy processes.
