CERTH presented at the Sustainable Wineries Workshop

On October 30, 2024, our partner CERTH proudly represented the TEAPOTS at the "Sustainable Wineries" workshop at the stunning Viñas del Vero winery in Barbastro, Spain. Kostis Atsonios from CERTH shared his insights from the Filia Ghi demo plant and the TEAPOTS project.

This workshop, organized under the Horizon Europe project FUELPHORIA brought together industry leaders and researchers to discuss innovative sustainable winery practices. Participants explored how vineyard pruning is transformed into electricity, heat, and cooling, showcasing creative approaches to resource valorisation. CERTH’s contributions highlighted how advanced TEAPOTS solutions can transform winery operations, helping them transition to greener and more efficient practices.

FUELPHORIA is an EU-funded project aimed at developing robust, cost-effective technological solutions for producing advanced biofuels and renewable fuels from sustainable feedstocks and renewable energy. Similar to the TEAPOTS project, FUELPHORIA emphasizes the use of innovative technologies to reduce the carbon footprint of the wine industry.

This workshop provided a great opportunity to showcase the innovative TEAPOTS solutions while fostering synergies with projects like FUELPHORIA to advance sustainable, decarbonized winery practices.
