Biochar: speeding up Nature’s way of removing atmospheric carbon

Our project partners from the STAM had an opportunity to introduce TEAPOTS at the science-to-policy workshop Biochar: speeding up Nature’s way of removing atmospheric carbon. The workshop took place at the University of Milan, Italy on 2nd July.

This international event, organized by the University of Milan, Poli-TO, iCHAR, European Biochar Industries Consortium, and the International Biochar Initiative, and funded by the Cariplo Foundation, explored the latest scientific evidence on biochar carbon permanence, sustainable biomass supply chains, and the diverse applications of biochar in creating a sustainable bioeconomy.

The TEAPOTS project offered valuable insights into emerging properties and perspectives for biochar uses with Ricardo Capolla’s presentation titled “Energy recovery from farm-scale pyrolysis units”.
